:There is no real answer for that other than in the time period that The Andy Griffith Show was filmed, continuity was not watched as closely as it is now.  There were no VCRs, DVDs, or DVRs back in that time and re-runs were even new so the only way you watched an episode would be when the network aired it.  That's the best answer I can give. Why was the license plate JL-327 in most of the episodes,and DC-269 in a few episodes? -- User:Astevenson

There is no real answer for that other than in the time period that The Andy Griffith Show was filmed, continuity was not watched as closely as it is now. There were no VCRs, DVDs, or DVRs back in that time and re-runs were even new so the only way you watched an episode would be when the network aired it. That's the best answer I can give.
