Floyd Lawson is the barber in Mayberry. He has barbered for over 30 years and has learned some stuff about love apparently! He has a wife named Melba (never sawn on the show) and a son named Norman (seen in one episode called "Those Gossipen' Men") and he has a nephew Warren Ferguson (who replaces Barney as deputy when Don Knotts quits the roll and is senn numerous times about a dozen times. His barbershop is where the Mayberry gang plays checkers and loaf around and talk and is the only barber in Mayberry. He has always dreamed of having a Two Chair shop. Floyd is a funny character who at times misunderstands things and doesnt focus on what the other chararcters are trying to get at and talks about another subject of the opposite meaning.
