Plot Summary

Dub Taylor plays the role of an obnoxiuos insurance salesman who tries to help his sister by getting her husband Emmett involved in insurance. Emmett tries, but his heart isn't in it. Emmett returns to his true love--his fix it shop. His wife finds him there late one night, trying to coax an appliance back to life.

  • Writer/producer James L. Brooks has won 19 Prime Time Emmy awards, more than any person in history.
  • Actor Dub Taylor, who played "Ben Beecham" in this episode, also appeared in Episode 94, "Mountain Wedding," as the preacher who would marry Charlene and Dud Wash. His first appearance was as a postman in "The Guitar Player". He reprised the postman role in "High Noon In Mayberry".
