Odd Facts Known by Few

  • Actess Whitney Blake would be best known for playing "Mrs. B.", the mom, in the sitcom "Hazel" starring Shirley Booth. She and her husband, writer Allan Manings, co-created the popular sitcom "One Day at a Time" in 1975. The show's premise, centered around a single working mom and her kids, was inspired by Blake's experiences as a divorced mother in the 1950s. Ironically, Whitney's daughter, Meredith Baxter, later starred as a married sitcom mom in "Family Ties". Whitney also was in the very first episode of "Perry Mason" in 1957.
  • This episode is written by "The Partridge Family" cast member Danny Bonaduce's father.
